HumiVault

Your palate is data. You've just never written it down.

I keep a humidor. For years I did what everyone does: glance at the hygrometer, smoke something good, and then fail to remember three months later what made it good. The information existed the whole time. It was scattered across a gauge, a receipt, and my memory, which meant nothing could ever be compared to anything. HumiVault puts it in one place.

24/7 Humidity and temperature monitoring with Govee sensors.
AI Flavor, strength, and pairing profiles per cigar.
CSV Import inventory and match it to canonical cigar data.
HumiVault collection dashboard showing humidor health, collection value, and cigar insights.

The whole picture

One collection, three jobs.

HumiVault is built around the decisions I make: whether the cigars are safe, whether the aging is doing anything, and what to buy next.

Protect

Know before the humidor drifts.

Govee sensors feed HumiVault continuous humidity and temperature, condition scoring, and alerts while a problem is still small.

Never lose a box to a humidity crash.

Understand

Turn every smoke into evidence.

The smoke journal captures the storage conditions and aging days at the moment I rate a cigar, so what I learn stops living in memory.

Find out if your aging actually works.

Discover

Know what fits your palate before you buy.

Flavor and strength profiles, pairing guidance, and taste signals that sharpen every time I rate a session.

Stop buying on the label.

Protect

Numbers I can act on.

I pair Govee readings with a live humidor view, so humidity, temperature, condition score, and alert status all sit on one screen. When something drifts I know which humidor it was, roughly when it started, and whether the cigars are still in range. That's the whole point. A gauge tells you the present tense and nothing else.

  • Continuous humidity and temperature across every connected humidor.
  • Condition scoring, so I know what needs attention first.
  • Out-of-range alerts, early enough that a storage problem doesn't become an inventory loss.

Understand

Ratings tied to the conditions that shaped them.

A rating is worth a lot more when you know what the cigar was sitting in. HumiVault records temperature, humidity, and aging days at the moment I log a session, which quietly turns a pile of opinions into a set of things I can compare. If a two-year rest actually improved something, that shows up. If it didn't, that shows up too.

  • Smoke journal entries hold tasting notes, ratings, and session history.
  • Storage snapshots turn an aging experiment into something you can check.
  • Rotation prompts move the right cigars forward at the right time.

Discover

The more I rate, the less generic the advice gets.

GPT-powered profiles give me flavor and strength for whatever is in front of me, plus pairing suggestions that beat guessing. The more sessions I log, the less the recommendations sound like a magazine and the more they sound like my own shelf, which is the whole point of rating them.

  • Flavor and strength profiles for comparing cigars before you light one.
  • Pairing recommendations that give a session a better starting point.
  • Personal taste signals connecting what you've rated to what's worth buying.

Inventory

The boring part, handled.

Import what you own, match it against a canonical cigar database, and let the dashboard carry the real state of the collection: value, humidor health, sensor status, and what needs rotating.

If your collection has gotten serious

Protect what you own, learn from what you smoke, and stop buying on the label.

I built HumiVault to hold the discipline of a humidor log and the memory of a tasting journal in the same place. It's live now.
